We thought we would finally write this long overdue letter of thanks for the wonderful home you built for us on Kiawah Island. Our new home is everything we had hoped for—and much more! The whole experience of designing and building with you was truly a pleasure from the first time we met. Even though the design and building process took place without us living on the island at the time, the entire process was seamless, exciting and thoroughly enjoyable. We could not have been more thrilled with the architectural design by Brooks. He helped us design exactly the type of house we wanted: open, bright, casually elegant and inviting. Both the quality of the workmanship and the oversight provided by Carroll Areheart were superb. Carroll was an absolute joy to work with. It was clear that he took ownership in the construction of our house, and he was always available to answer any questions or concerns we had. It seems as though we have had a constant stream of family and friends who have stayed with us since the house was finished. Seamar Construction Co. completed our home in early 2006, and we could not have been more pleased with the process of building a home far from our principal residence up north. Three factors made this an enjoyable undertaking. First, the quality of workmanship was excellent throughout in particular the finishing trim details. Second, the integrity of the Seamar organization was unquestioned. If a problem occurred, they would advise us promptly and come up with the solution. In addition, there were the inevitable change orders which we could transact verbally and be assured they would be completed competently at the agreed upon price and without a major delay in the completion schedule. This leads to the third factor that made the building experience pleasurable. Someone was always available to discuss changes and other field conditions requiring decisions by us.

With our home nearly 3 years old, Seamar people still make themselves available should a question need an answer or a problem a solution, and that gives us great comfort.
